Waldwiese kennels was established in 1976 and have been consistently breeding beautiful Weimaraners and Weimaraner Longhairs since.
Dogs we have owned and bred have competed in Showing, Obedience, Tracking, Retrieving, Track and Search and Scent work showing the true versatility of the breed. Currently we own and bred the only Triple Champion Weimaraner in SA. (Awarded championships in showing, tracking and track and search.) At the most recent Weimaraner National Show, a dog we bred won BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW from a large entry of Weimaraners from all over Australia. We pride ourselves in breeding not only sound, good looking examples of the breed proven by competing in the show ring but also intelligent and faithful friends.
Our dogs are our family members first and foremost and live in our family homes. Temperament pays a big part in the dogs we breed and testament to this is the number of people that have bought companion dogs from us multiple times over the years.
Prior to breeding all of our dogs undergo full health testing for Hyperuricosuria, Hypomyelination, Spinal Dysraphism and Degenerative Myelopathy along with Hip and Elbow x-rays.
All of our litters are born and raised in the family home and introduced to children and other animals at an early age.
